The story explores patriarchism through a traditional household family in Kerala and how a woman proclaims herself free from the bondage of patriarchal expectations. A newly wed woman struggles to be the submissive wife that the family expects her to be and finds herself cooking, cleaning and washing dishes every day with no recognition or consideration coming from her husband or family. She eventually breaks out of the toxic role and starts fresh as a dance teacher.
